Team/division description
As part of People & Site Services (P&I), the Supply Chain Workplace Experience (SCWE) team is responsible for the hard & soft services and facility projects to Supply Chain’s real estate and assets in Europe.
This includes Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) in Diest, the 13 other Regional Depots (RDO’s) – 3 of which are owned buildings - and 6 Vehicle Logistic Hubs (VLG) in Europe.
Supply Chain Workplace Experience works closely together with the other entities of People & Site Services, in particular with the Strategic Workplace Planning team and the Workplace Experience team that has a similar role for Toyota’s European Head Office and Technical Centre.
Your responsibilities
To pursue an optimal preventive plan and remedial maintenance of technical aspects of building, installations, machines and ground in large scale logistic centres.
To manage, coordinate and implement safe operation and maintenance activities for the facility and technical installations, ensuring facilities are operational and well-maintained.
To implement assets management system for buildings, including ensuing a proper asset register inventory.
To ensure a safe and healthy working environment in line with the Health & Safety and applicable local legislation, including ensuring the safe delivery of work by contractors.
To conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
To prepare annual budgets and investments in maintenance activities and follow up on allocated budgets, investments and monitor the KPI\'s.
To manage technical companies working for TME for the technical maintenance – regular meetings with vendor, monthly reports – KPI management, audits and supervision, vendors finance - review of the costs and invoices.
To ensure 100% safe processes and legal compliance (ISO 14001, ISO 27001, AREI, fire & electrical safety, etc.).
To work effectively as part of an integrated customer workplace experience services team and support logistic operations from facilities perspective.
You are fluent in English (TME’s business language) and you have a thorough knowledge of one of the two Belgium languages, both written and spoken
You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline (i.e Facility Management, Electrical and Power Engineering or Civil Works) and 3 years post related experience; or exceptionally, the lack of a university/college degree may be compensated by at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function.
You have a sound knowledge and experience in facility management, operation and maintenance including technical installations/ systems, e.g. power supply and distribution, Building Management System, lighting, HVAC, security systems.
You have a knowledge and understanding of environmental protection, energy and utilities management and institutional policies related to environmental protection and energy usage and conservation.
You have a proven ability to supervise technical staff.
You have a Problem solving mentality.
You are Genchi-genbutsu/genba oriented.
You have a Perseverance to achieve the objective and deliver expected output.
You enjoy working in a team and respecting others.
You have a basic knowledge of regulations for building construction in Belgium.
You see facts before making recommendations or decisions.
You have excellent communication skills.
