Our client, an international player, is looking for a Junior Commercial Controller to support their commercial strategy. The role focuses on maintaining product prices accurately and competitively, analyzing margins, and supporting commercial decisions with clear reporting and analysis.
In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Commercial Controlling team, as well as local sales and production colleagues, to conduct price analyses, assess deviations, and make fact-based recommendations. Additionally, this role supports commercial reporting and contributes to improving pricing and control processes.
- Monitor and validate product prices in line with internal guidelines and objectives.
- Provide feedback to sales teams on pricing strategies and profitability, including flagging unprofitable deals.
- Conduct market and regional analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate tool requests and ensure proper alignment with pricing logic and investment criteria.
- Support pricing proposals for new customers and participate in negotiation preparation.
- Prepare and maintain reports on sales figures, margins, and price developments.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of pricing and commercial processes by providing suggestions and proactive enhancements.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in pricing, controlling, or business analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset with great attention to detail.
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Constructive and clear communicator, critical thinker, and willing to challenge existing processes.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or other European languages is an advantage.
