For our client, an international pioneer in the full-service concept of fastening technologies, we are looking for a Logistics Administrator for Desteldonk. The Ghent site serves as an intermediate supplier for small fastener parts, largely for the automotive industry.
Your main tasks include the following:
- schedule and follow-up off incoming transports, preparing the freight paperwork and ensuring drivers leave with the correct goods and necessary documents;
- creating time schedules for the incoming trucks by communicating with domestic and international carriers;
- welcoming drivers and other visitors at the reception desk;
- responsible for the daily follow up of the local inbound and outbound shipments;
- be the main contact for all smaller customers and support in the registration of their orders and booking transportation through various online portals;
- working together with your international colleagues and support the local customer planners with logistics and administrative tasks;
- being the communication engine between the warehouse, office and transportation team.
- bachelor’s degree or equal by experience;
- first experience in administration or logistics is a plus;
- strong communication skills;
- good knowledge of Dutch and English (written and verbal) is required;
- good planning and organizational skills;
- problem solving mindset and stress resistant;
- team player & ability to work independently;
- experience with SAP is a plus;
- you want to work flexible hours and can always be present before 8am (39h/week);
- you\'re preferably available at short notice.
You have a good knowledge of Dutch
You have a very good knowledge of English
